Nursing Team
Our practice nursing team are all registered with the NMC. They have extended their clinical skills and knowledge through postgraduate training and professional development and aim to provide a high quality of nursing care. The whole of the Oak Tree team are continually working towards improving patient access and the service we provide. The Partners at OTHC support ongoing learning and provide clinical supervision for nurses developing new skills and consolidating training. All nurses will work within their scope of practice, and they will have access to seek advice or treatment from a GP, or signpost to another clinician if appropriate.
Our patient service advisors may need to ask you the reason for booking so that they can direct you to the most appropriate member of the team. If you are booking online, our slot types have been allocated to the most appropriate practitioners.

Health Care Assistant Team
Health Care Assistants (HCAs) provide a high level of skill and care in the areas they have been trained in. Our HCA team have been trained and assessed to carry out specific tasks, working to protocols as they are not registered clinicians. They will always have access to a registered nurse or GP to supervise or sign post to when required. HCAs are not able to examine/diagnose/order tests/treatments outside of protocol. They have been trained to refer onto a registered, appropriate clinician when they reach their professional scope of practice. Our HCA team have been specifically trained in the extended skills, listed below:
